Melbourne Global Game Jam returns in 2024 for a fantastic weekend of game development at SAE in South Melbourne! Join 200 game developers locally and thousands globally for 48 hours of collaborative game development, from the 26th - 28th of January.

Global Game Jam® is the world's largest game creation event taking place around the world at physical locations. GGJ stirs a global creative buzz in games, while at the same time exploring the process of development, be it programming, iterative design, narrative exploration or artistic expression.

It's universal, it's a lot of fun, and everyone over 18 is welcome - all you need is a desire to spend a weekend making games with others. Games can be digital or analogue, they can be prototypes for something amazing down the track, they can be fun ideas that get explored and never finished. GGJ is all about having a great creative experience and meeting other game making enthusiasts.

Melbourne Global Game Jam will kick off on Friday afternoon of January 26th 2024 and run throughout the weekend until Sunday.
